Overview

Position & Presentation Scan

The Position & Presentation Scan assesses how your baby is lying in the womb, particularly in the later stages of pregnancy.

What it does

  • Identifies the baby’s presentation (head-down, breech, or transverse)

  • Assesses the baby’s position (which way the baby is facing)

  • Monitors changes in baby’s position as pregnancy progresses

  • Supports delivery planning and ongoing maternity care

Why it matters
Knowing your baby’s position and presentation helps guide safe birth planning and ensures appropriate care for both mother and baby.

What you’ll receive

    • Reassurance ultrasound scan to confirm pregnancy and heartbeat

    • Three black-and-white thermal print images to take home

    • Detailed scan report

    • Free re-scan if clinically required

    • Personal chaperone present for the full duration of your scan

    • Up to 5 guests or more welcome, including children of any age
